The holidays are fast approaching and this is a time to be thankful. However, this is no time for complacency. It’s okay to want more out of this time of the year, and today, I’m laying out for you how you can have the joy during the holidays that you deserve.
We are at the final episode of our End Like You Want to Begin series, and as we reach the close of 2019, I hope you’re starting to piece together the life you deserve. This time of year throws us a lot of challenges, and it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs and get lost in obligation, but it does not have to be this way.
I’m doing something that scares me again: this time it’s pitching myself to Anna Navarro (Republican strategist/commentator and part-time host on The View) to be her coach. There’s something about her that’s been nudging me to do this for months and this past week, she told Oprah’s sister (who was in the audience) to tell O that she needs a Weight Watchers coach. No knock to WW, but I know that the BARE lifestyle is the best path to dropping whatever’s weighing you down. She may never respond…she may say no, but I’ll never know if I don’t ask. And the asking is what truly counts. “Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.”
What would YOU do if you weren’t afraid?
What do you want to be grateful for when spring rolls around in 2020? How would you fill in the title blank? How will you get out of your way to allow it to happen? What turtle steps can you take now?
I’m going for 100 people saying No. Because if I get 100 nos, that means I’ve made around 500 asks and getting Braver Bolder Better at asking is one of my goals. I want to thicken my rejection skin. 🙂 Eventually, all that rejection will pay off in getting to the best Yesses! We are not too old for the Yesses, sisters!
For those celebrating Thanksgiving, I hope you have an enjoyable and safe holiday week! Treat yourself to some chill time too! I’m GRATEFUL for every one of you who read the blog, listen to the podcast and/or have become a coaching client. DEEPLY APPRECIATIVE!! I’m also grateful for those who opted out. Negative energy gone. Everything/one ain’t for everybody.
And if I’ve said anything that has motivated you to make changes you’re grateful for, another BIG ASK I’m making is for you to become a subscriber of The Midlife Woman Redefined podcast. It’s FREE and the reviews rolling in say it’s a great, beneficial listen on getting your mind right to live your Best Life. A short listen too! To sample and subscribe, go to crenecoach.com/podcastlaunch OR go to Apple Podcast, Spotify, or Stitcher and put Midlife Woman Redefined in the search box to find and subscribe. And don’t struggle, get your friend or one of those tech savvy young-er people to get you subscribed.
We’re coming to the end of our series End Like You Want to Begin, and this week is all about the one thing that I know is holding you back.
Fear is a huge part of who we are. Being afraid is in our DNA. We get scared by bad things, but we also become a victim of fear when it comes to things that ultimately could be amazing. So we are here to be braver, bolder, better, and push through fear to experience the brilliance that lies on the other side.
I was having problems recording an episode of the Midlife Woman Redefined podcast and contacted my editor for assistance. He told me that I needed to install the latest MAC system upgrade and when I tried doing that, I got the message that I didn’t have enough bandwidth for my upgrade. (the tech gremlins love torturing me and Still I Persist! LOL)
Woooooo Sa! That immediately hit me as a life and coaching metaphor because to increase my bandwidth, I had to
DELETE A BOATLOAD OF FILES!
Helloooo! I know this is clicking for you as it did for me (Mavens are smart!) and I have two questions for you:
What and Who do you need to delete to get more bandwidth for your life upgrade?
What or Who is stopping you from doing it? (This Who is YOU boo!)
Ready to bust through your fears and get that upgrade? Here’s how I can help:

I am incredibly excited this week to bring you my very first interview here on the podcast. This conversation was incredibly affirming for me and I cannot wait for you to hear what my guest this week has to share with you all.
My guest today is Mary Rogers, host of the Experience 50 Podcast for Midlife. Mary hosts the top-ranked podcast for inspiring midlife men and women as they navigate their 5th decade, figuring out who they are and how they want to show up for this phase of life. Over her 4 years of connecting with listeners, she has become a virtual best-friend and big sister to listeners across the world.
Once again, I almost let F.E.A.R. (false evidence appearing real) shut me down and sabotage my ability to grow my business. What tripped me up? I sent a request to be a guest on another podcaster‘s show who talks about midlife to get more exposure for my podcast. That didn’t scare me. She would either say yes or no.
What she said was: “Instead of your coming on my show, I will be a guest on your show and promote it to my audience.” THAT freaked me out and my inner mean girl (I call her EgoR for Ego René) started yapping.
You haven’t interviewed anybody! She’ll see what an amateur you are and cancel. She’s got a huge audience and you’re going to make a fool of yourself. Yada Yada Yada
What was actually true?
I was a recruiter and manager in my previous life and have years of interviewing experience. My zone of genius is coaching people through getting the change they want and I do that through asking intuitive questions in conversations. Hellooooo!!Thanks
This is what we do. We let Ego take over and take us out…sabotage us from moving forward and Getting What We Want. And this is the shxt we need to let go!
ENOUGH!
My coaching is grounded in mindset work because I know from personal and client experience that Getting Your Mind right is the only path to desired change that last. The first 20+ episodes of the Midlife Woman Redefined Podcast all focus on mindset work. Once the End Like You Want to Begin series is completed in a few weeks, the show will be focused on women who are living the Bolder, Braver, Better life! We experience F.E.A.R., but we don’t let it keep us Living Our Best Lives in all the messy gloriousness that comes from rising above surviving to THRIVING.
I did do the interview…after sitting in F.E.A.R. for almost a month! And my first podcast guest, Mary Rogers, host of the Experience50 podcast was Fantabulous! Check out her wonderful podcast here. I had krazy tech issues, a freak storm that knocked out my power causing us to have to reschedule and through it all, she hung with me to get it done. And she didn’t know me from Eve! Get yourself subscribed to the podcast to hear this interview and the End Like You Want to Begin series.
I LOVE this graphic AND I’m here for the Take Action Mavens who are READY and who will Do The Work to Level UP in the new decade that kicks off in 2020. I’ve got a list of Fear-less women who will be sharing their How I Do It stories. I’m doing a Black Women In Love series that ALL women will want to hear and I’ll be covering all things how to live Braver, Bolder, and Better!
P.S. The Mary Rogers interview airs Wednesday. If you’re not subscribed to Midlife Woman Redefined, stop right now and fix that here! Podcasts are a free, enlightening opportunity to learn, laugh, cry, and grow, .
We’re taking a little pause from our End Like You Want to Begin series over here on the podcast because, when this episode airs, there will be 55 days left of 2019 and I know there are some things we all need to work through.
We have 55 days left, and in these 55 days, we have the opportunity to make big steps and shape the rest of our life into exactly what we want it to be.This is an opportunity that cannot be missed. We have no time to waste, sisters, so what are you waiting for?
